Zipline Iceland Our Zipline Experience is a great adventure for all those who love the thrill of doing something challenging but at the same time very safe. The tour includes an easy hike through breathtaking river canyon with four zipline rides, the longest stretches 240 meters. The scenery below you, named Grafargil is incredibly beautiful and you will have the birds-eye view of it as you whiz down the ziplines. Grafargil canyon is situated right next to the village in Vík, on Iceland’s South Coast, surrounded by beautiful hills and river-canyons. It is not directly accessible by vehicle so after we meet at Noður-Vík Hostel and get your dressed up in safety gear and brief your shortly we drive for 5 minutes where the hike begins. When we’ve got you all dressed up in the appropriate gear and driven up to the starting point our journey down the river-canyon begins. We will give you detailed safety instructions and make sure you are comfortable with what to do during the ride so you will enjoy it to the fullest and stay safe. Once you’re ready then you wait your turn and next thing you know, you are zipping above this breath-taking river-canyon, heart pumping with excitement and having the best birds-eye view of the area that you can imagine. Around 1 hour and a half later we’re back we’re we started, at Norður-Vík hostel, and you can carry on exploring all the magnificence and glory Iceland has to offer, including it’s ever changing weather pattern. Things to keep in mind

Open: All year. Multiple departures during summer, one per day during winter.
Max: 12 pax per trip so it’s necessary to book boforehand.
Duration: Around 1,5 - 2 hours.
Weight limit: 30 - 120 kg.
Difficulty: Moderade. Pax needs to be able to walk up and down through uneven ground.
Dress code: Water proof Hiking boots with ankle support. Dress according to weather, windproof is always a good option.
Meeting Point: Norður-Vík (HI hostel Vík), Suðurvíkurvegi 5, Vík í Mýrdal.
Children: younger than 16 years old will have to be accompanied by an adult.
